Bounce Into Food Allergy Awareness

May 16, 2026

Join us in celebrating Food Allergy Awareness Week

In memory of my late son Zane, we are creating a day filled with the joy, connection, and hope he brought to the world.

Join us on May 16th from 1:00-4:00 pm PT at the Kokanee Shelter at Lake Sammamish State Park for a meaningful day of community, education, and fun. Families can enjoy a bounce house, connect with others navigating food allergies, and learn practical, real-world strategies for managing them with confidence.

This event benefits Kids with Food Allergies (KFA), a division of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA)

Managing food allergies can feel overwhelming and isolating at times. KFA connects families with expert resources, practical tips, and a caring community that empowers people.

I hope you'll consider donating to KFA today because information, connection, and preparedness can save lives.
Your gift supports:
  • Free education to help prevent and respond to allergic reactions so families can live without fear
  • Emotional and social support so no family feels isolated or alone
  • Advocacy for clearer food labels and better access to emergency treatments like epinephrine
  • Research that ensures patient and family voices guide the development of new treatments and policies

Do you want to make an even bigger impact? Start a fundraising Team!

Rally your friends, family, or coworkers to fundraise together before the event. Create a personal fundraising page, share it with your network, and collect donations online. It's easy and only takes a few minutes to set up.

Click the "Start Fundraising" button on the home page to get started. The team that raises the most money by May 13th earns exclusive use of the bounce house from 11:00 a.m. until noon.

Together,  we can ensure other kids with food allergies have the knowledge, support, and confidence to thrive.

Thank you,

Shane
